FC Lugano is pleased to announce that it has confirmed. Andrea Vitali on the bench of the Under-21 team, a team that successfully defended its place in the Hoval Promotion League. With the coach who took over last March 5, 2025 from Sergio Zanetti, the technical staff was also confirmed, in which Cristian Lamanna joins as an assistant, a role he previously held with Vitali in the U19.
Parallel to these operations in the name of continuity and to give new impulses in the field of training, ahead of the 2025/26 season the club has redesigned the technical structure of the Team Ticino/Next Gens teams. Former top professional soccer players, Alessandro Minelli (54), Marko Basic (37) and Andrea Maccoppi (38) will put their experience at the service of training young talents as coaches of the U19, U17 and U16 respectively.
Marko Basic and Andrea Maccoppi have been accompanied for the past three years on their technical training journey along which they have operated both as U21 players and as individual assistant coaches in FC Lugano’s youth teams. They have thus gained the knowledge that they can now put at the service of their respective selections. Alessandro Minelli, on the other hand, is a seasoned technician and very experienced in the field of training. In fact, he boasts a long militancy in the technical cadres of Team Ticino.
